Anuraga Palace is a mid-range hotel on Ranthambore Road built in a Rajasthani heritage style, with courtyards, arches and a pool, at a standard-band tariff. It gives the palace look without the palace price. We do not run the hotel; we help guests staying there with safari permits and pickup.
The hotel is on Ranthambore Road, the corridor our vehicles use to reach the gates, so pickup is routine and the pre-dawn drive to a core-zone gate is short. Outer-zone gates are further around the park and need an earlier start, which we set once the forest department allocates your zone. Sawai Madhopur station is a reasonable drive in the other direction, and transfers at either end are uncomplicated.
The building is modern but styled as a Rajasthani palace, with a courtyard, arched corridors, carved detailing and a pool in the garden. Rooms are air-conditioned and traditionally decorated, and larger than at many standard-band resorts. It is a heritage look at a mid-range price, so finishes are decorative rather than luxurious. Couples and families who want the Rajasthani palace feel without paying deluxe or luxury rates, and travellers whose Rajasthan trip is themed around forts and palaces. It suits two-night trips with time by the pool between drives. We collect from the porch at the time sent the evening before, take you to the allocated gate, and the guide handles entry with the ID on the permit. The same jeep or canter returns you after the drive. The hotel also arranges safaris through its own desk; tell us if that is already in hand so a slot is not booked twice. Permits are allocated by the forest department and cannot be issued by the hotel or by us.
Meals are buffet-style Indian and some continental dishes in the restaurant, with courtyard or garden seating in the cooler months. Evenings sometimes include folk music, and there is a bonfire on winter nights. A few restaurants along the road offer a change if wanted. Ask about early breakfast or a packed box before the morning safari and lunch timing between the two slots.
Fix your dates, let us apply for permits, and confirm the room once the forest department issues them. Standard-band rooms are rarely the constraint; peak-season permits are. Our tour packages combine permits, pickup and a stay in this band if you prefer one booking. If you have already reserved the hotel, we add the drives and send the pickup time the evening before each safari.
