Jungle Vilas is a mid-range resort on Ranthambore Road known for its lawns, with rooms and cottages around the garden and a pool for the afternoons. It sits in the standard band. We do not run the resort; we help guests staying there with safari permits and pickup.
The resort is on Ranthambore Road, the corridor our vehicles use to reach the gates, so pickup is routine and the pre-dawn drive to a core-zone gate is short. Outer-zone gates are further around the park; we set an earlier pickup once the forest department allocates your zone. The station is a reasonable drive in the other direction. The road is good and well lit near the resorts, which makes early starts easier for drivers and guests alike.
The lawns are the feature: rooms and cottages face open grass with mature trees, and the pool sits to one side. Rooms are air-conditioned and comfortable without being elaborate, and cottages give a little more privacy. It is a standard-band resort that spends its effort on the grounds rather than the interiors, which suits families with children who need space. Families who want space for children between drives, small groups of friends, and couples on a value-conscious trip who still want a garden and a pool. It suits two-night trips with a safari on each day and time on the lawn in between. Guests wanting a designed or heritage interior, a spa, or a wilderness setting should look at the deluxe and luxury options. Very large groups are better served by the bigger resorts on the same road.
We collect from the porch at the time sent the evening before, take you to the allocated gate, and the guide handles entry with the ID on the permit. The same jeep or canter returns you after the drive. The resort also arranges safaris through its own desk; tell us if that is already done so a slot is not booked twice. Permits come from the forest department and are not issued by the hotel or by us.
Meals are buffet-style in the restaurant, with lawn dining and sometimes a bonfire in winter. Evenings are quiet, and families tend to eat early after the afternoon safari. There are a few restaurants along the road for a change. Ask about early breakfast or a packed box before the morning slot and lunch timing between the two safaris; the kitchen is used to safari schedules if told in advance.
Fix your dates, let us apply for permits, then confirm the room once the forest department issues them. Rooms here are rarely the constraint; peak-season permits are. Our tour packages combine permits, pickup and a standard-band stay if you want one booking, or we add drives to a room you have already reserved and send the pickup time the evening before each safari.
Confirm the current tariff and taxes, whether breakfast is included, and whether station transfers are charged. Check the cancellation policy against the possibility that permits are not allocated. Ask about pool operation in your travel month, cottage versus room differences, and room location for families with young children. Match the ID on the permit to the one you will carry.
